The Church of St. Stephen is located in Hoçë e Madhe/ Velika Hoča, a village near Rahovec, in a hill close to the Drin valley. The Church of St. Stephen dates from the XIII century and is known for a variety of architectural and artistic values.

Its walls are built out of stones and lime, whereas the roof which until late was covered by stone tiles is now replaced by mud tiles. The frescos inside the church which lead to the altar were pictured during the XIX century.

The church courtyard is also surrounded by stone walls, where also the tavern, wine preparatory, parish and inhabitation spaces, and cattle hutch are located.

The Church of St. Stephen is one of the typical churches for this area, and represents an important part of architectural and cultural heritage of Kosovo.
