The Black Peak is a giant peak with a huge side, which is also what makes this peak highly characteristic for the Sharri Mountains. This side is actually visible even from the city of Prizren. The peak’s side is very difficult to climb, any kind of hiking has to be done with special equipment and ropes since there’s a 700 m downfall.

The Black peak has a long ridge, which ends in the Gornje Lubinje village (of the district of Prizren). One of the mountain’s side is turned towards the Konjushka peak, meaning this side too is in Kosovo’s direction. The mountain has two border sides, and a small side turned towards Macedonia.

The name of the Black Peak originates from the black rocks of the peak, which are visible from Prizren. An interesting note for climbers: the altitude of the mountain (on the peak) is noted as 2585 m, in the NATO maps it’s noted as 2586 m, while my measurements resulted in a 2594 m altitude.
