The 'Prishtina Film Festival' closed last Wednesday night and what a week it was! Another fantastic event for Pristina - congratulations to everyone involved with organizing the event, and congratulations also to all the participants.
Following on from Prizrens DokuFest in August and the 9/11 Dedication Short Film Festival held earlier in Sept, it really is a testament to Kosovo that a country of this small size can host three hugely successful film festivals in such a short space of time.
Shame on you if you didnt catch at least one or two of the films on show!
I was lucky enough to attend the screening of Lebanon in the ABC theatre last Tuesday night (Sept 28th). It is an award winning film from Israel so any opportunity to catch it on the big screen is a bonus, but watching it with the director was pretty damn cool!
And listening to Samuel Moaz speak afterwards was well worth the six euro entry fee very interesting guy with an amazing story to tell. I can only imagine how much it would have cost for a similar experience somewhere else in Europe.
Thank you to Mr Moaz for coming to Kosovo, thank you to whoever arranged his visit and thank you to ABC cinema and the Film Festival committee for keeping it affordable. Were already looking forward to next year!
